Heavenly Chicken: Why Chick-fil-A Is America’s Favorite Fast Food

If you’ve heard the saying among family saying they had “heavenly chicken” on their weekend getaway, many jump straight into knowing it’s the one and only Chick-fil-A. Opened since 1946, this classic healthier fast-food joint has been making families and their bellies satisfied! Although not coming to Goodland, KS—scheduling a not too far road trip a to North Platte, Nebraska for this tasty treat in 2025 will be a must!

North Platte announced in August it had started the construction process of a brand new Chick Fil A. The building is scheduled to be finished at this time in early January 2025.

But why is this chicken so popular? The food is delicious, and the service is outstanding at almost every location. With many restaurants taking a nose dive in profits during the COVID pandemic, Chick Fil surprised us all.

“It’s annual system wide sales reached $16.7 billion in 2021, up from $12.8 billion in 2020, stated online resource company,” Marketing Scoop.

Chick Fil A is different than many fast-food companies simply because of its ingredients. They only use whole white chicken breasts with no fillers or additives.

To go along with their delicious chicken having a sour and sweet lemonade is a must when visiting this restaurant. Their lemonade is so popular that in 2014, Chick Fil A actually went through 250 million Sunkist lemons!

Surprisingly, their chicken or refreshing beverages aren’t the most popular item ordered on the menu, rather it’s waffle fries! Do we have your mouth salivating and have you fantasizing about opening a Chick Fil A of your own? This is one other area that makes Chick Fil A different than any other franchise model. It only costs $10,000 to start up…but you have to be approved. And the chances of being approved for a location? The percentage is lower than getting into the difficult Ivy League of Stanford University. So, without a high chance of owning one, eating at a location has satisfied many of our heavenly chicken desires…and soon we will be able to enjoy one in the not-too-distant North Platte, Nebraska! Cheers to happy eating soon.
