A Note from Rachel…
The hardest blog to write is the last one.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit asks us to give up the things we are good at…it doesn’t make sense. I think about the story of Matthew the tax collector. Nowhere does it say he wasn’t good at his profession…
But He gave it up for Christ. I’m sure it hurt sometimes. Not that what doing the right thing you were clearly called to was right, but that what He was doing for Jesus outweighed the pain.
He has clearly directed me to stop working in the public field—and pulled me to be fully present at home.
So, many times it has been an honor to be recognized for the work I have done for the community—for people to be blessed when I write for them.
It’s so hard to know that even when something is good…it may not be the best.
It won’t make sense to many.
But it makes sense to the few.
Be bold.
Do the hard thing in your life.
Take the step.
Delete the social media.
Be present in your family.
Make happiness where you are at right now in this spot.
I will see you on the sidewalk.
I will see you in the stores.
I’ll see you in real life.
My book will still release on July 6th, and I will still be at the local book signings; but any other public work will cease effective immediately.
The website will remain active for sources and books. Maybe one day I’ll be back…when they’re grown and running on their own.
But for now…I need to do this.
I’m sorry to let any of you down, but I love them the most.
Always,
Rach

A Note From Rachel’s Husband, Brook.
Four books in six years. Newspaper deadlines. Early mornings on the radio. Late nights writing. Somewhere in the middle of all that, Rachel still managed to be the steady heart of our home.
At the end of May, our final radio show wraps up. She’s also stepped away from the newspaper and has made the decision to fully step into this next season of being a wife and mom full time.
And honestly, I couldn’t be more proud of her.
Most people have seen the books, heard the interviews, or read the articles. I’ve had the privilege of seeing the sacrifice, discipline, faith, and heart behind all of it. She’s poured herself into every page, every broadcast, and every conversation over the last six years.
This may be the closing of one chapter, but it’s also the beginning of one that matters just as much.
Four books. Countless lives impacted. And still the same humble woman who never needed the spotlight to know her purpose.
