Why I Deleted LinkedIn to Focus on What Matters

Got LinkedIn?

I had a few thousand followers on LinkedIn. I shared bits and pieces of my work now and then — articles, updates, encouragement. But one day, I sat with this question:
What am I doing here?

Was I here to connect? Be noticed? Stay “professional”?
Or was I just trying to prove something?

Don’t get me wrong, I love writing and encouraging women with doing meaningful work behind the scenes. I’m always open to growth. But I started to realize that I don’t need another platform to measure that growth.

So, I deleted LinkedIn.

Not because I’m stepping away, but because I’m choosing to lean in to what matters most.
The not quiet home, and this steady work God has given me to do — writing to reach lives of women I’ll probably never meet in person.

I’m a mom of six.
I homeschool.
I’m a minimalist, always trying to make better space for what matters most.

My husband and I co-lead a marriage radio show called The RNB Show as our hobby (but it really does helps others having a raw and real tips and tricks in marriage!)

On top of all that, I run Simply Blooming Grace, which isn’t just a blog as you may very well already know.
We offer resources for the everyday girl!
From home and health, to cooking, organizing, devotions, and honest product reviews. It’s encouragement for the woman doing dishes, managing schedules, walking through something hard, or just trying to keep going.

And even without LinkedIn, the work hasn’t slowed down.

  • I’ve written for Her View From Home since Fall 2023 as a paid contributor, reaching over 2.5 readers across social media.
  • I’ve published three Christian books, including Blooming Wisdom, previously sold worldwide in stores like Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes & Noble.
  • I’ve written over 100 articles for The Goodland Star News, most of them front-page features.
  • I’ve worked in radio for several years — co-hosted a morning show, won a KAB award, and helped raise over $200,000 in listener-supported funding.
  • In 2025, I was promoted to their Social Media Manager, and within 90 days, increased engagement across platforms by 29%.
  • I’ve also worked in finance, admin, CRM, customer service — and every part of my story has taught me to work hard, stay steady, and keep showing up.

So no, I’m not on LinkedIn anymore.

But I’m still writing.
Still building.
Still blooming.
Right here where I’m planted.

And if someone stumbles across my work, whether it’s a blog post, book, podcast, or product review– I really hope what they find isn’t just my name.

I hope they find Jesus in the middle of it.
