Smart Grocery Shopping: Avoid Tempting Treats at Home

One of the best words of wisdom ever given…

“You can’t eat it…if you don’t have it, don’t order it, and don’t buy it.”

Using up the last of the chocolate chips from our previous Christmas baking in the pantry today. This will be our last batch of homemade cookies for awhile. We aren’t monsters, but limiting dessert to once a week or month at home benefits you in more ways than one.

Making small changes like what is bought again at the grocery store not only helps with your food budget…but also your waistline and promotes better, healthier choices for the littles in your life.

PS It’s negative freezing weather,

so a warm cookie in a safe house for the kids just seems like the right momma move today.

Some of us are better at self control than others. If I have sweets in the house, I will eat them. Know your limits— and set yourself up to succeed. Maybe that’s pulling a move like me…if it isn’t there, you can’t eat it.
