We all know eating at home and meal planning saves money, but it can seem overwhelming! Here’s my 5 tips to simplify dinner and save your August’s grocery budget!
1. Do a meal rotation. Dawn from The Minimal Mom recommends writing down 14 recipes (even just PBJ) and rotating them for supper.
2. Order groceries on the app! By ordering groceries on the local app, you can minimize impulse purchases and see applicable coupons to save you more money.
3. Start hosting special events at home. Make birthday dinners and a dessert for a sweet, sentimental gift this year.
4. Consider outsourcing, unnecessary decision making with premade meal and chore plans. This will allow you to focus more on what really matters in your current season.
There are so many people out there whose job is to bring convenience to your meal planning. Personally, we love using products from Passionate Penny Pincher. Laurie has created over a 100 weeks of menu plans!
5. Switch to digital to have easy access to shopping lists and menu plans right at your finger tips.
BONUS TIP:
Passionate Penny Pincher has their PDF sale right now! I purchased the bundle, downloaded them to my Home Screen on my iPhone, and now I have all the recipes whenever I need them!
Now, I can always have all my shopping lists digitally with me when I go to the store, make menu planning in the carpool line or at the office…
Looking like a pro in the kitchen =Priceless
However, if we are just looking at the practical cost— it cost me $35 after a coupon for 100+ weeks of recipes. That’s less than $3 per month to have all my recipes organized, planned, and shopping lists provided.
P.S. There’s $5 off to try Passionate Penny Pincher in the comments.
P.S.S. They have the home planner we’ve used personally for over four years to keep life running smoothly and keep my minimal home clean.
