We have gained so many new members for our monthly book club starting up again this December! Our team is thrilled to have people from all over the world with us at Simply Blooming Grace! We have online visitors from almost every continent. It is absolutely wonderful to have people come together in local communities as women unite to just simply READ together.
This whole book club was started to develop a Christian corner in the book club world that would be fun, create community, grow in wisdom, share experiences, and simply create accountability to read more every month.
I always found it scary to pick out a book on my own…but when it was recommended by a friend, I never seemed to be disappointed. We want to be that book friend in your life.
What is the cost?
The beauty of our book club is it really isFREE. The reading plans are free, the LIVE video and discussion questions are free. You can share the content and watch it over and over again. There’s virtually no reason to quit.
If you don’t like the book one month, simply just come back the next month!
Or maybe… you simply didn’t get a chance to do the reading plan like you wanted. Life happened. Give yourself grace, pick it up the next month, and try again. We are here to equip and encourage YOU!
Do you take book recommendations?
We always love to hear your recommendations for books that should be shared with Christian women everywhere. In fact, the book for our club in December 2023 was recommended by a bookstore owner, Kelsey! Thank you for sending us the right direction sweet lady! Send us a quick message on your own favorite read, so we can consider adding it to our future club roster.
Where should I get my book for the upcoming month?
Now, where to get your book each month… that’s completely up to you. Here are some of our own club reader’s top options:
- Consider purchasing from a small, local bookstore. We partner with a local bookstore in McCook, Nebraska (New Life Christian Bookstore) and they will have hard copies available during each month for our club to pick up.
- Consider purchasing through a small, affiliated online blog business (example and one of our Bloom Team’s personal favorites to buy their home planners every year is at Passionate Penny Pincher). Shoot them an email to request a link to support their small business. They are a wonderful group of ladies, too!
- If you like things to be simple, that’s what we do best. Consider signing up for the monthly book club subscription HERE. It’s just $20/month– and the book club will automatically send you the new read every month to your door. It’s like a little box of happy mail! We do a random drawing for a free giveaway prize every month from all subscribers. They are always super cute! PS Who doesn’t like getting a present or book gifted every month? A subscription is especially a great gift idea for the fellow book lovers in our lives. You can also get December’s 2023 book without a subscription HERE.
- If you’re on a budget, we totally understand! We applaud your stewardship and sticking to the monthly budget–we need to do that too in our homes. Consider checking it out from your local library. We don’t want you to miss out on reading with us for any reason!
Common Questions:
What do we do after we finished reading the current month’s book?
Optional Fun: Take a picture with you and your book and post it on your own Facebook page or social media that you’ve finished this month’s read! We will celebrate with you—when you choose to tag or send an email. We will also gladly post a list of all received reviews in our emailed newsletter, if you’d like us to share it the following month. Just type SHARE before typing out your message, so we know we have your permission!
What should I do next with the finished book?
- Keep it! If you love it– add it to your own shelf of favorite books.
- Resell it. Consider selling it to a used bookstore– and using the funds to purchase next month’s read.
- Gift it forward. Pass it on with a note to a friend you think might enjoy the read like you!

How do we keep the book club FREE?
Well, that’s where the simple grace filled man behind Simply Ginger Roots came into play. The husband of our founder works really hard outside the home, so his special wife–well she can play hard inside the home. At the core, this book club is ministry lead and Jesus centered. The majority comes out of their own pockets to make all these Christian resources free, everyday for YOU! She absolutely thinks you are worth it. Because she sees you as the LORD sees you– more valuable than rubies.
You can support them for free by sharing social media posts and recommendations to your friends and family. Do you want to support them financially? Consider signing up or gifting a book subscription, ordering their own published devotionals, or drinking their signature Simply Blooming coffee.
How do we join in on the LIVE monthly meeting for the book club?
We are currently going to go LIVE on our Facebook page. The link is HERE— and will be emailed out again before we go live as a reminder. (We all need reminders, right!?)There is no group for this event– which makes it accessible to everyone who wants to join. You will be able to comment, be entered into win a prize for attending, and interact with other women who have read the book too! The video is planned to stay posted after the event– so if you missed it, you could go back and watch it.
Do you have a Facebook group?
We do…but it isn’t specific to the book club. You’re welcome to join if you would like.
When will discussion questions be posted?
We will post discussion questions on the Simply Blooming Grace Facebook page following the reading guideline for the specific month on our Facebook page. You will get to interact with other readers throughout the month via comments. Discussion Questions for each chapter will be posted on the dates below– which line up with our suggested timeline reading guide.
