Stress or Bless?

The thankfulness filled holiday is over…

and Christmas is already being thrown our way.

The budget might be tight for the next two weeks, but there are so many good deals…

Family is staying the whole weekend… or might be leaving town…

The dishes are piled…

The list of chores is long…again…

The comments made yesterday at the table might still might hurt a little….

The grief of not having that person this year is finally fully setting in the aftermath of silence…

But…our perspective can still have a chance to change!

The checkmarks are empty…

Where is the joy in the day…

It doesn’t mean there won’t be discomfort— but always a present blessing or a fond memory that I can focus my eyes.

The bad doesn’t have to steal my joy for today.

There’s still something good.

What’s the simple change to flip the flopping thought from defeat to victory?

Today? It’s the simple fact that my husband thought of me and offered to make me pancakes—- and for that alone, I’m so very thankful.

The stressing turned instantly into blessing.
