Quiet Life

Ready for a loving truth:

You don’t have to make everything complicated—let Him simplify your life. It will be full and abundant.

Whatever you think isn’t good enough…

Comparison will kill it. If you never knew what your neighbor had…would you really care?

Would you ever have known that your own accomplishments are simply still just as amazing?

But what about…

That house that is pristine…

The nice job with the letters behind your name…

The check marked box…

Your 18 year old car…

No fancy title or worldly accomplishments that mean anything to anybody else…

Your kid being judged by someone in worldly standards, because they haven’t reached a certain milestone…

It’s a lie. Your life doesn’t have to be complicated or grandiose by world standards to mean you aren’t winning or valuable.

Let it be simple. It’s okay. You don’t have to play a worldly game to win at God’s life for you.

He thinks you are amazing. That’s simply true.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 (NIV)

and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you,

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
