When people want to talk to me about my testimony, ministry, writing, or anything—they don’t actually want to talk to me…
What they really want, whether they realize it or not—they crave to hear Jesus in me. I’m a vessel, not the liquid gold. I’m a companion in a journey- not the final destination.
Subconsciously, they feel Jesus in me—and that’s what every believer offers to the world. People are drawn to you not because of who you are or what you have done, rather they’re drawn to WHO you hold inside. You carry and give out the most audacious love, the deepest forgiveness, and the biggest belly laughs. You shed compassionate tears and give the most meaningful hugs.
But the truth every real Christian knows: we are only able to show those glowing qualities to others, because of Christ showing and giving love to us first.
The Holy Spirit has a warm draw—He is desirable even to the detested. People catch a whiff of something different in a broken world— and they have to know what is opposite.
How can something of God be living in an imperfect vessel? Our body is a living sacrifice for Him alone. We are called to serve in the LORD’s will to love His creation. When you accept the call, you accept His glow.
People don’t want to be told about Jesus first; people want to see Jesus working in you. The glow shows you are different, and then later your verbal testimony-presents them the eternal opportunity to be forever changed by the powerful Holy Spirit. Best of all, He will gift them a glow too.
Do you want to know the One and Only Jesus who gives His people a glow of love like nothing that has ever been seen? All you have to do is ask!
Philippians 4:13 (New King James Version)
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Matthew 5:16 (NASB)
Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 7:7 (New International Version)
Ask, Seek, Knock “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
